Technically this project was always going to be tough, and along with our partners at Nymbl, we had to work out the best course of action for each technical challenge encountered. The film shoot was different to any other, with the puppeteers wearing green onesies to aid us in keying them out of the footage. We also used live keying hardware to help us position the camera for each shot. A great deal of photoshop work was needed on the original movie scenes, along with tracking and camera matching to remove objects much larger than you would generally attempt to. The whole concept was not only aspiring but also slightly crazy, yet still a great project to be involved with and rewarding once the hard work finally paid off.
