Although a repetitive format for a video, it was by no means a simple project. The construction of a whole globe made from 3d tiles was excessively complex, so a clever workaround was created to reduce the strain on the processor. However, due to the number of elements involved, the renders regularly crashed, so the scene had to be rendered as separate components and compiled back together for the final export.

This project did throw up some unexpected problems during production, but solutions were always found and the production exceeded the client’s expectations. Necessary changes in the order of events did add to the labour time required, but it was good that the client saw the benefit in adapting the project for web use, as it often feels like a waste when this much effort goes into a one of event.
