EAGC

European Autumn Gas Conference

Project

To create an epic introduction video to show at the beginning of the European Autumn Gas Conference, using dramatic music while showcasing all the sponsors for the event. The video was based around reference material supplied by the client, along with all the sponsors logos.

Details

This project was created using duplicated particle systems based in 3d space with a camera flying through the particles to each company logo. It is a relatively simple concept, but due to the number of particles, did become processor intensive while editing the scene file. Also, because the sponsors logo’s were supplied in various formats and resolutions, many were rebuilt to handle the close ups when flying past the camera.

Comments

The music was always going to be the main driver of the piece, and it certainly delivered on the dramatic and epic request within the brief. The particle systems did cause some complications when cutting through the camera, so there was a fair amount of tweaking settings and using camera blur to avoid unexpected distractions caused by randomly generate particle systems so close to a camera.
