A fun, bright and energetic corporate web video, to help explain how the 3 radical gamification marketing application operates.
This motion graphics project involved everything from the initial storyboarding to delivery, and included arranging the voiceover recording. It was kept on brand using the colour palette and guidelines provided, and utilised some of the design assets within the clients existing marketing material. Many of the assets were created from scratch for the animation, along with all the characters, who were kept to just heads and hands to help keep the viewers focus on the important elements within the animation. The removal of characters’ bodies also allowed everything to be produced within to the original budget, as the client’s demand for characters would normally add further workload during production. This project was completed alongside our 3d specialist partners at Nymbl.
3 radical was an enjoyable production to be involved with, due to the abstract use of motion graphics and fun use of shapes. It did throw up some unique challenges with regards to rigging floating heads and hands for animation, but allowed a great deal of flexibility with what could be achieved. It also demanded some interesting ways in which various shapes would morph from one design to another, which meant that each storyboard frame was restricted by the layout of the frame prior.
