Designing for print differs from that of screen based design, most notably due to the higher resolution required to maintain quality, and differences between the primary colour systems used. Font sizes and layouts that work on screen may also not necessarily work well in print, especially as printed material can take on numerous forms and locations, and the design should always bear this in mind. For example, a poster image has a different objective to a printed leaflet, and therefore would not require as much detailed information.
Various printing methods add limitations to design and need to be understood when deciding how best to setup the final print ready files. We have years of experience designing various graphics for print, which have given us a wealth of knowledge in the numerous techniques to use such as; pantone colours, spot uv, litho printing, foiling, matte coating and die cutting. Previous print design work has covered products such as business cards, magazine advertisement, leaflets, brochures, packaging, headed documents, tees, stickers, sign writing and even flags. Whatever your requirements, we can help you achieve the perfect print ready designs.
Thanks to our partners at Discfactory, we also have access to an industrial laser printer and die cutting machinery, so may be able to provide more than just the design.
